Data Deletion Policy

1. Overview
At Ever Us, we respect your right to control your personal data. This Data Deletion Policy explains how you can request the deletion of your account and associated data, what data will be deleted, and the timeframe in which deletion will be completed.
2. How to Request Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and personal data through any of the following methods:
2.1 In-App Deletion
You can delete your account directly within the Ever Us application by navigating to Settings → Account → Delete Account. You will be asked to confirm the deletion before it is processed.
2.2 Email Request
You may send a data deletion request by email to privacy@everus.app. Please include the email address associated with your Ever Us account so we can verify your identity and locate your data. We may ask for additional verification to protect against unauthorized deletion requests.
3. What Data Will Be Deleted
Upon processing your deletion request, we will permanently delete the following data associated with your account:
- Account information: Your email address and authentication credentials
- Photos: All images you have uploaded to your shared timeline
- Memory notes: All text entries and notes you have created
- Usage data: Any analytics data that is personally identifiable and linked to your account
4. Impact on Shared Timelines
If you are part of a shared timeline with a partner, please be aware of the following:
- Content you created (photos and notes) will be removed from the shared timeline upon your account deletion.
- Your partner's content will not be affected and will remain accessible to them.
- The partner connection will be dissolved, and your partner will be notified that the shared timeline has been modified.
We recommend informing your partner before requesting account deletion so you can both make any desired arrangements, such as saving content you wish to keep.
5. Timeframe for Deletion
We process data deletion requests as follows:
- In-app deletion: Deletion begins immediately upon confirmation and is completed within 30 days.
- Email requests: We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days of verification.
During the deletion period, your account will be deactivated and your data will no longer be accessible through the Service. Once the deletion process is complete, the data cannot be recovered.
6. Data We May Retain
In certain limited circumstances, we may retain specific data after account deletion where required by law, or where necessary to:
- Comply with legal obligations, such as tax or financial reporting requirements
- Resolve disputes or enforce our agreements
- Prevent fraud or abuse
Any retained data will be limited to what is strictly necessary and will be securely stored. Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you is not subject to deletion requests.
7. Confirmation of Deletion
Once your data has been fully deleted, we will send a confirmation email to the address associated with your account (if provided via email request) or display a confirmation screen within the application.
